So, the conversation turns again to the demise of the message. And this is where I am confused. I've trawled the interviews ( thank you T.I.P ) and at no point do MCR state that they have a definitive message ( with regards to women ) until late 2004/2005 when they became more in the public eye and the fan base begin to idolise them. Previous to this they were very much a band about following your dream, being who you are and making a difference. I mean, for goodness sake, there is even an interview where GW says he watched a porn film in the recording booth to help with the intensity of the vocals ( working on the assumption that it was a heterosexual porn film ). I never saw a campaigner until well into their career.
I see a man who fits his actions and statements into whatever the public/friends/lovers want him to be.
So why is everyone so disappointed by the current state of affairs? He is behaving true to form.
